Biography

Emma was born and raised in England but moved to Georgia, USA when she was 13. Being a very shy person, this move was particularly difficult for her but she believes it was this move that helped make her the person she is today. She found herself having to step out of her shell to survive and this was a sink or swim moment in her life:

“I guess I swam and that experience is one of the reasons I am the fun loving, quick-witted, caring person I am today.”

Emma graduated cum laude from Kennesaw State University's Accelerated Nursing program and now holds both a B.S. in nursing and a B.S. in psychology (also from Kennesaw State). She currently works professionally in "theatre", well, as an RN in an operating theatre.

Emma loves to act:

“I love being able to evoke emotions from people—I think of it as a type of therapy both for the audience and for myself. By making people laugh, I am able to help people leave their troubles behind if only for a short while. I also like making people cry or stirring up feelings of anger. Not in a negative way as you may think, but in a way that acts as a release for them. I like to teach and make people think and I strongly believe that music and acting can do these things without people even realizing they are learning or “going to therapy.””

Emma also loves to sing and considers herself a jazz singer though she does love all genres of music!

“If one day I can sing like Ella Fitzgerald, you will not be able to get me to shutup!”

Even though Emma is very ambitious and can be very career-oriented, her friends and family will always come first.

“My mum is my best friend and I do not know what I would do without my dad. As annoying as my brothers can be, I do love them and would not know and do not want to know what life would be like without them. I think that everyone should have a pet—pets should seriously be covered under insurance plans!”
